Day 1: Exploring Cuyahoga Valley National Park
Park at the Boston Mill Visitor Center.
Begin your hike on the Buckeye Trail, part of a 1,144-mile loop. Walk until you reach Blue Hen Falls — about 3 miles round trip. Enjoy small river waterfalls surrounded by forested scenery.
Drive along Gorge Parkway to ‘The Overlook’ for sweeping views of the valley — especially beautiful in autumn.
Next, stop at Bridal Veil Falls Parking Lot and take the short hike (under 1 mile) to view the cascading gorge waterfalls.
Head to the Virginia Kendall Picnic Area for lunch beside Kendall Lake. If you have a fishing license, this is a great spot to cast a line.
After lunch, drive to the Ledges Overlook and take the 2.3-mile Ledges Trail loop around rocky ledges and scenic overlooks.
End the day by visiting Everett Covered Bridge — a picturesque red wooden bridge surrounded by forest.
Return to your campground for a relaxing evening.
Day 2: Waterfalls & Caves (Half Day)
Start early and head to Brandywine Falls — one of the park’s most famous attractions. Take the 1.5-mile loop to view the 65-foot waterfall.
Continue on the Brandywine Gorge Trail for beautiful river views and smaller cascades.
Visit Deer Lick Cave — an above-ground sandstone cave along the Deer Lick Cave Loop.
Wrap up your trip and begin your drive home.
